Our Board of Directors is the heart behind Youth Unshackled Ministries, helping guide the vision, support the mission, and strengthen the work we are called to do. Their passion, wisdom, and commitment help us serve with love, purpose, and impact.

A devoted Chicagoan and a personification of encouragement, Dianna really hates the cold, but she loves the people of Chicago. In 1983, she founded Youth Unshackled Ministries (YUM) resulting from a casual conversation between her and Lorraine. She is committed to encouraging all, especially those who work with youth. Her public encouragement extends to others through her singing and writing ministries. Her creative projects include a poetic and prose book entitled, Pursue, along with two other CD presentations. She is the Executive Director of Youth Unshackled Ministries and Assistant Pastor of Boosters for Christ Revival Center.
Lorraine is a perennial educator, who shares with others some of the lessons of life that she has experienced as a result of her academic and Biblical training. She has worked for multiple decades in the Chicago Public School system as a high school teacher, instructional coach, and long-time Sunday school teacher at her home church. Her life in Christ began when her 6th-grade gym teacher shared the plan of salvation with her, and she accepted it. This encounter with Christ ignited a passion for teaching others. She is presently working as the Assistant Executive Director of Youth Unshackled Ministries, a Sunday School teacher, and the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Bethel House of Prayer UHCA.
Wearing many hats in excellence and diplomacy, she is a wife, mother, grandmother, pastor, teacher, preacher, counselor and modern day example of the Proverbs 31 woman. Furthermore she is an effective teacher and organizer. Her gifts are evinced in several current positions that she holds: State Supervisor of Women in the UCOGIC, Sunday School Superintendent, President of Women of Wisdom(WOW), and the Executive Secretary of Youth Unshackled Ministries.
He is a leader among leaders. Like his lovely wife, Rosalyn McLaurin, he wears many hats well. He has been training people for ministry works for several decades. He began his ministry career as the Youth Minister at Boosters for Christ Revival Center. Since that time he has mentored many aspiring pastors who have worked with teens, adults and children. The Bishop's giftedness has prepared him for his present roles as grandfather, father, the Presiding Prelate of the First Jurisdiction of Wisconsin UCOGIC, General Secretary of UCOGiC, and the Executive Treasurer of Youth Unshackled Ministries.
A product of Chicago Public Schools, Angela has had an acute passion for working with people in general but youth in particular since her early teen years. Accordingly, her academic focus on the college level was concentrated in Human and Family Resources studies. She is by profession a social worker in one of Chicago's south suburban school system. Her passion for service to others is rooted in her commitment to Christ at an early age. Because of passion to know Christ and to make him known, she is busy serving in many capacities such as Children and Teen Sunday School teacher, Church Elder, Women of Wisdom secretary/treasurer, and Executive Director of Youth Unshackled Ministries.
She aspired early in life to make a difference in the lives of people. She has been an ordained minister since her early adult years. In an effort to improve her skills set in her service to others, she attended and graduated from Chicago State University. Because her desire is to serve God and youth in particular, she joined the Youth Unshackled Ministries staff, becoming one of its the founding members.. Several years ago, Joyce relocated to California, but she continues to provide support as a YUM Ministry Liaison.
